Nodus City, also distributed as Nodus City Player, is an interactive game platform that allows people to join, create and play location-based and other interactive games.
Nodus City is developed and operated by Joris Petillion under the Nodus name.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Nodus City may collect, how that information is used, how it may be shared, and how users can delete their data.
The information collected depends on the features used during a game.

On Android and iOS this includes location access while the app is in the background, where the player has granted that permission, so that missions and checkpoints continue to work while the phone is in a pocket during play.

When a player permanently deletes their player profile, the personal information associated with that profile is deleted, and the content they shared during a game is kept only in de-identified form as described in section 6. Limited information may be retained where required for a legitimate legal, security or fraud-prevention reason.
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted system backups until those backups are automatically overwritten or deleted. Backup copies are normally removed within 30 days.

After confirmation, the player's personal information is removed and the local player session is cleared.
This content was shared with the other participants of that game and remains part of the game's shared gallery and results. After deletion it is no longer linked to a name, contact detail or identifier that identifies the player.

Account deletion means permanent deletion rather than temporary deactivation.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect user information.
These measures include encrypted HTTPS/TLS communication, access controls and limiting access to personal data to systems and persons that require it to operate the service.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Nodus City may be used in educational or group settings.
Where children use the app, the organiser is responsible for ensuring that its use is appropriate and that any permissions or parental consent required under applicable law have been obtained.
We do not use children's data for targeted advertising or behavioural profiling.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected in circumstances where it should not have been, please contact us so that it can be reviewed and, where appropriate, deleted.
Nodus City is operated from Belgium.
